Laparoscopic Surgery – Niramayaa Superspeciality Hospital

Not long ago, most abdominal operations meant a large incision, significant pain, a long hospital stay, and weeks of recovery. Today, many of these surgeries can be done through a few tiny openings, thanks to laparoscopic surgery, also known as keyhole or minimally invasive surgery.

At Niramayaa Superspeciality Hospital, our skilled surgical team uses modern high-definition laparoscopic technology to perform a wide range of procedures safely and precisely. Our focus is simple: effective treatment with less pain, smaller scars, and a faster return to your family, work, and daily routine.

    FAQ’s

    Can everyone have laparoscopic surgery?
Most patients are suitable, but some may need open surgery due to previous abdominal operations, severe inflammation, or other medical factors. Your surgeon will decide what is safest for you.
Will I be awake during the surgery?
Most laparoscopic procedures are performed under general anaesthesia, so you will be asleep and comfortable throughout.
What if the surgery needs to be converted to open surgery?
Occasionally, for safety reasons, the surgeon may need to switch to open surgery during the operation. This is a decision made in your best interest and will be discussed with you beforehand.
How soon can I eat after surgery?
Most patients can start with fluids on the same day and resume a light diet within a day, depending on the procedure.
Why do I feel pain in my shoulder after surgery?
The gas used during surgery can cause temporary shoulder discomfort. It usually settles within a day or two.
