    • Abdominal Scan: Fasting for 6–8 hours before the scan is usually required.
    • Pelvic / KUB Scan: Drink water beforehand and arrive with a full bladder.
    • Early Pregnancy Scan: A full bladder may be needed; transvaginal scans are done with an empty bladder.
    • Other Scans: Most Doppler, thyroid, musculoskeletal, and later pregnancy scans need no special preparation.

Please bring: Your doctor’s prescription, previous scan reports, and relevant medical records.

    FAQ’s

    Is ultrasound safe?
Yes. Ultrasound uses sound waves, not radiation, and is considered safe even during pregnancy.
    Does it hurt?
No. You may feel slight pressure from the probe and the gel may feel cool, but the procedure is painless.
How long does a scan take?
Most scans take 15 to 30 minutes. Detailed scans such as anomaly or Doppler studies may take longer.
When will I get my report?
Most reports are available the same day. Your doctor will explain the findings and the next steps.
    Do I need a doctor's referral?
A prescription from a registered doctor is required for most scans, and is mandatory for pregnancy scans as per government regulations.
